[Special Issue DIB] Data acquisition and monitoring of urban infrastructures

📢 Call for Papers: Data acquisition and monitoring of urban infrastructures, Data in Brief Journal

Data acquisition for urban infrastructure includes creating high-resolution data to create 3D models, GIS maps, remote sensing maps, active monitoring of energy systems, and investing in modal transport data. Optimizing the performance of urban infrastructures by modeling or digital twins requires data tracking and responsive data generation. The condition monitoring of urban infrastructure can help in forecasting, fault detection, intelligent management, and overall optimization of operation and maintenance. The special issue on urban infrastructure aims to invite submissions, especially from researchers holding empirical urban infrastructure performance data that can be used for performance evaluation or computational models, including digital twins.

📚 Examples of special issues topics and case studies are listed below:

💻  Advanced Techniques for Monitoring and Management of Urban Water Infrastructures

💻  Urban infrastructure safety system based on mobile crowdsensing. International journal of disaster risk reduction.

💻  Mobile mapping, machine learning, and digital twin for road infrastructure monitoring and maintenance.

💻 Automated processes of creating a 3D city model for monitoring urban infrastructures.

💻 Application of airborne data to monitor urban infrastructure Objects using Remote Sensing and Spatial Information.
